Clients of the partial hospitalization program in group therapy

PHP

After someone has successfully completed the Residential Treatment Program, the next step is the Partial Hospitalization Program where clients are given an opportunity to learn sober living skills with their peers without direct medical supervision.

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Palm Healthcare Company is very similar to the inpatient program except that it is not nearly as intense nor do the clients stay in an apartment that is a part of the treatment center. The PHP allows clients to remain at their place of employment and also, if they are from the area, stay in their residence while receiving drug and alcohol treatment. The PHP at Palm Healthcare Company is designed for the individual who is already stable and not as prone to relapsing. The PHP is perfect for those people whose alcohol and drug problem has not progressed to the point of requiring an intense level of care. The emphasis of groups in the PHP is focused more on long-term recovery plans, life goals, continuing recovery, which are education or career based.
